Wavetrend’s unique ID Code and relevant product data are transmitted via intelligent firmware that delivers industry leading ultra-low power consumption and a typical 5-year battery life at the default 1.5-second beacon rate. CE approved Activ™ Tags are offered only to our customers outside of the USA and Canada.
Wavetrend’s unique ID Code and relevant product data are transmitted via intelligent firmware that delivers industry leading ultra-low power consumption and a typical 5-plus year battery life at the default 10-second beacon rate, the default 1.5s alarm rate and where tag movement occurs for up to no more than 40% of the tag's total life-span. FCC approved ActivDuo™ Tags are offered only to our customers in the USA and Canada.
Wavetrend supports a low-cost reader infrastructure for tracking and management systems comprising both fixed and mobile readers. Serial, Wi-Fi and Ethernet-enabled readers allow RFID data acquisition through existing fixed infrastructure and networks as far as possible, while mobile reader options offer the benefits of RFID data acquisition through ubiquitous wireless technologies such as WLAN or GPRS(GSM) while on the move or away from fixed RFID reader networks.
Wavetrend offers a range of tested and approved antennas that can be used with our range of readers to create and define read range and read zones that are the building blocks for Zonal Real Time Location Systems. We also offer various ancillary products such as Wiegand interfaces to allow the quick integration of Wavetrend active RFID hardware into access control systems, tag programming stations, demonstration kits, basic cabling, spares and other items.
Wavetrend's Software Development Kit (SDK) based on the Microsoft™ .Net™ platform gives developers and systems integrators a full-featured interface for integration of active RFID data into existing or new tracking and management software applications. Wavetrend also offers various software applications useful for hardware configuration, demonstration purposes and to control ancillary devices, such as the tag programmer unit.
Middleware / Interoperability
Wavetrend offers a complete application platform capable of supporting multiple RFID and ancillary technologies as a middleware platform, and has produced multiple plug-in modules or drivers to allow our active RFID hardware to be utilised on most well known middleware platforms offered by key vendors such as IBM, HP and Microsoft.
