End-Cap Reader for Psion Teklogix Workabout Pro (RX2150)

Wavetrend’s RX2150 is an Active RFID Reader designed to fit to the Psion Teklogix Workabout Pro range of mobile computers.

The Reader is housed in a standard Psion utility end-cap and integrates seamlessly with the device.

The combination of RX2150 Reader and Workabout Pro mobile computer is ideal for location, audit or stock take of tagged assets, or identification of personnel in an evacuation or mustering process during a disaster.

Tag data and Reader status information is communicated to application software enabling complete management of all tagged assets and the automation of business decisions about them based on accurate and real-time knowledge of their location.

Wavetrend’s RX2150 Reader:

• Detects and decodes RFID signals from all of Wavetrend’s range of Active RFID Tags.

• Makes decoded Tag and associated metadata available to application software running on the Workabout Pro.

• Can be dynamically configured by software running on the Workabout Pro.

• Application software running on the Workabout Pro allows local processing of Tag reads and onward communication via Wi-Fi and GPRS facilities.

• .NET Reader API available to allow rapid development of custom applications.
